COVER REVEAL Christy Pastore's new book "Unscripted"!!!!

Unscripted (The Scripted Series #1)
by Christy Pastore
Genre : Erotica Romance
Publication Date : December 9, 2014
Cover Design : Mayhem Cover Creations

Synopsis
“His gaze on me was intense, I couldn’t look away. I felt as if I was revealing my entire soul to him in this moment.”

The range of emotions I had experienced with Ronan felt like a topsy-turvy spinning roller coaster. Suddenly I was awake for the first time in what felt like years. Every fiber of my being was filled with heated desire, passion, lust and fear, and all I wanted was more… more of everything, more of him. How had I just lived these past few years only going through the motions?  But, as glorious as all of this was, was I kidding myself? Could it be real? Or just a moment in time – a few days of thrilling and scary excitement rolled into one? The moment before you hit that first big drop on your favorite coaster, you fall, and then it’s over.

This isn’t your typical Hollywood fairy tale where the typecast ordinary girl next door meets the famous handsome actor and they fall in love. Despite the emotional and physical scars that serve as reminders of Holliday Prescott’s past, she has evolved into a strong young woman. Ronan Connolly has loved and lost, but he’s never been in love. The weight of Hollywood’s expectations and the scripted games people play have left him bruised but not broken.

He’s always followed everyone else’s script and she wrote her own. That was until fate swept in with other plans.

MATURE CONTENT
This story contains sexually explicit material and is intended for mature individuals over the age of eighteen.

Emma is navigating life after her husband of 24 years dies suddenly. As Emma and Luke’s beautiful love story develops, Emma’s dreams become more frequent and frightening. She’s completely convinced that the enigmatic couple she dreams about each night shares an undeniable connection to Luke and his current undercover assignment. Emma and Luke’s bond is so powerful, they both wonder if maybe they’ve met before. What they learn is that time has a wonderful way of showing them what really matters, and that the universe works in mysterious ways.

What I have to say about it...

Basically first and foremost I'd like to say that this is usually NOT what I read. I'm more the paranormal/NA - girl, but I am very happy to help out small (and not so small) Indie Authors and read their books for reviews. This is what happened with this book. I got it in exchange for an honest review and it's a three-and-a-half to four-stars-read.

I had some troubles getting into the story, I have to admit. I can't exactly say what it is, but it felt like it was missing something in the beginning. If I'd have to describe it, I'd say it was pretty 'clinical', but luckily that changed later on. Writing is about getting something off your chest, doing something you love and that's what B.A. Dillon got to after a little while. After that this book turned exciting and sweet and REAL, which is what I look for in books.

So, characters... Emma... Emma is awesome. She's sweet, independent and a woman who follows her heart. I love that. I know some people maybe have troubles with 'insta-love' (which is kinda what this is), but I seriously don't, especially not with the explanation B,A. Dillon offers for it. Love over time - Don't we all dream about that?

Luke... What can I say about Luke??? To be honest, I don't know where to start. COP - hot. TATTOOS - hot. DEVOTION TO HIS WOMAN - hot times ten. He seriously is a great guy and I fell in love with his dad (hahaha, kinky, right? *winks*) . The love those two share, the respect and the honesty in their relationship, I really loved seeing that and I heard we'll see more of him in book two! YAY!

So, again, this was a really good book in the end. I struggled in the beginning, but I'm glad I pulled through because the ending was just right and there were little scenes in between that totally made my heart ache with sweetness. I am going to read on. B.A. Dillon is on the way to write a great series for people who love mysteries, cops and the perfect love.

The Don: Sebastian (Stud Mafia Series #1) by Aimie Jennison and Elle Raven

Synopsis:

Power. Greed. Revenge. Submission.
Sierra Winters never planned on falling for the most powerful man in Sydney.
One minute, she's an everyday twenty-eight-year-old, working class office girl. The next, she’s being blackmailed by Sebastiano Morassi, Sydney's influential crime family boss, to settle her brother's debts.
Sierra knows she should never have gone to him to ‘save’ her brother but she is captivated by him. His monstrous size, his malicious evil glare and more frightening is the scar, which marks his left cheek. Never has she met or seen anyone like him. The more time she spends with this frightening yet captivating man, the harder it becomes to want to escape.
Sebastiano Morassi is pure danger. So why does she crave him? He can make her tremble with fear and make her hairs stand on end, but he also has a sweetness to him, which tugs at her heart. Sierra soon finds herself merged into his world full of murder, revenge, and deceit.

What I have to say to this five-star-plus read:

I might start of with a warning. I eventually will appear like a mad woman, but I entirely blame Aimie and Elle for that. Seriously. I've waited for this book soon long and now I am happy I got my ARC for an honest review... That's a lie. I blackmailed those two until I got one! Muahahaha! See, Mad woman. It's their fault... Because "The Don" simply was... I mean... Whoa, he's HOT! And I mean that in all the right ways. Like with hot candle wax, hot sex, hot talk... All that.

This book is violent. And I mean ready-to-throw-up-gruesome. But it's also steamy. Very steamy. And it's special. I was trying to think of how best to say how this book made me feel, but I can't even get close to my emotions really. Maybe we can do it in a series of GIFs.

First I felt:

Then I felt:

And then.....

After that came...

And the last two...

Yeah, so I was in heat, in disgust, in heat, in more heat, burning, heat, disgust and a lot more disgust and then heat again. The ending was perfect. The book was exciting and thrilling and dark and dangerous and all the things a crazy girl like me could wish for. Seriously. this read has something to offer for everyone and i am so glad those two trusted me with their ARC because, MAN, I couldn't have waited any longer for this book.

Sierra is brave and probably a little na├»ve, but that's okay. She comes around, realizing all the things that go wrong and are wrong, but that sometimes are necessary.

Sebastiano... Please, take a moment to let that name roll off your tongue. I think it settles right between the legs. That name alone promises heat and as much as I feel seriously sick because he's hot and a turn on, i can't help but fan myself whenever thinking about him. I'm one of those girls that occasionally enjoys YA lit, but I seriously love a good, real MAN in between all the boys and HOLY SHIT, Sebastiano is all man and monster. But let's be honest here, monsters sometimes attract us girls. Like Angel back in the Buffy-days... Or Klaus from VD right now... They are all just misunderstood. *winks* Sebastiano has a certain code of honor and I sure love how he thinks respectable women are treated... And to him a respectable woman is one with a head held high, no matter what situation of profession she's in. That dude is kinky, but I am thinking all of us have a kinky side that needs feeding sometimes. And I promise, after this awesome read you'll never see rosary beads in the same way... Damn, I want a one of those necklaces...

All in all... I loved this book. I seriously did and I have to bow before Aimie and Elle for having dared to write it. The sex, the violence... You truly mastered both in your book... Thank you, ladies. Seriously.

Yours truly,

Julie

Kissing Trouble (In The Dark #2) by Morgana Phoenix

Synopsis:

Their screams will be his lullaby.

Escaping into the wilderness should have been a piece of cake for a super-babysitter like Julie Brewer. But even she isn’t prepared for the horror awaiting their arrival, or the man who had broken her heart all those years ago to suddenly show up on the doorstep.

Mason Brody has a plan and it is simple: wait for Julie to grow up. Yet in no way is he prepared for the fierce amazon who ambushes him with a baseball bat, or the way the shy fifteen year old has blossomed into a beautiful, passionate woman he can't get enough of.

But there is so much more than just their past between them. There is a dark force lurking in the shadows, waiting for the chance to appease its hunger for death and it will stop at nothing until it is fed.

Can Mason and Julie keep the evil at bay long enough to escape? Or will the monster add their lives to its list?

Okay, truth first: I struggled with this review ever since I finished that book three days ago. Trust me, it wasn't because the book was bad, but because I simply didn't know what to say except "Whoa!!!!" For people who read this blog regularly, you probably totally get why THIS girl here gets excited with JULIE being the main... Yeah, I totally felt as if I was the cool, kick-ass heroine in that book simply because my nick on the internet has been Julie since 2004. It feels like part of me and... Ah, I'm drifiting off. Okay, so let me post a GIF to show my initital reaction to that book.

Yeah, those were two and yes, I can count... So, first things first. I am not a girl who reads thrillers because my heart can't take it. I do make an exception of Mrs. Phoenix is calling my name, asking me as her Dark-Court-Slave to pretty please read her book. (Between us, she most likely will never ask me again as I started to threat her while reading! *winks*) I am glad I read this book even though I was scared of falling asleep. And opening a window. Or the front door. You know, nothing major that could influence my life...

Anyways, Julie is one hell of a female main. She is strong and her bat-wielding powers are the best one yet. Tension between Mason and her is... WOW, I swear, I felt on fire with them, Those two seriously made me breathe hard in certain scenes...
And Mason... Oh, Mason...

I take me a Mason any day of the week... Or any night... Or any week of the month... Or any month of the... Yeah, you get the drift. His protective side, not only around Julie, but the kids as well had me a puddle on the floor before the story really started. The way he treated them all, careful and with respect, oh, and love of course, is just the best thing ever.

For someone who is actually a little clueless about what to write in this review, I sure have written some words, but nothing really convincing yet, so here comes the part WHY you should read this book:
THIS IS AWESOME! It's breath-taking and exciting. It makes your heart jump and ready to run away without you because you can't keep up. This book keeps you at the edge of the seat and even though I seriously am scared easily, I loved every bit of it. I had my suspicions about who'd be the bed guys and I seriously worried that Morgana (a.k.a. Airicka) would totally crush me. I was ready to never speak to her again if, and that is a big if, she'd have ended the book the way I worried. Luckily she didn't. And, since I'm absolutely not clever when it comes to hints as to whom could be the bad guy, I was a lot surprised at the end. This is a Halloween-read you sure can enjoy every day of this year. I am so gonna re-read this book once. Or twice... Or three times.

And just so you know... The book was so awesome I bought it even after getting an ARC-Copy because I find that this book and this author deserve all the support they can get... Airicka Phoenix NEVR EVER disappoints.

Damn, I love that woman (sorry for embarrassing you now with my absolutely public love-declaration... :-P )

GET IT, people! NOW!

Yours truly,

Julie

---------------------
Approximately 24,000 words

And now the things I think about that book... This is a tough one. Not because the book wasn't good, but because it was too good. I really want to write this review without spoiling any of you, so there might not be said much about the book at all besides a lot of *sighs* and *giggles*.

I got this book as an ARC-copy and I'm more than glad about this!

I'm no stranger to M/M books, but a lot of times it's either tough f***ing or no action at all. I like guys having action because, let's be honest, they have needs, too, but I don't like if they are constantly displayed as... I don't know. Either way, T.E. Ridener makes this HOT and STEAMY and yet DREAMY!

I loved the whole story, from beginning to end, starting with the way she describes the every day life to the very end where they seem to find the perfect solution. I loved, loved, loved the relationship between Kasen and Rowan because there never was a doubt that those two mean the world to each other. And then, of course... Uh, but I promised to not spoil anyone, so of course I'm gonna shut up now.
This is an easy, fast read, a cute novella that actually made me wake up thinking about it still a few days after I finished. Even NOW I keep going back to that little story.

As a streetteam member I got lucky enough to catch tiny sneaks before this story ever really was anything and BOY, I am so glad you all get to enjoy it, too. It seriously is a GREAT read to get in the mood for Christmas. I instantly went and pre-odered this book, meaning YOU should get on that, too!

Another great one, T.E. Ridener. Thank you!

Yours truly,

Julie

Marked Men and The Point - Jay Crownover

This is gonna be two reviews of books by Jay Crownover!! Be warned, it's immensely hot where those boys came from...

Welcome to the Point

Synopsis: There’s a difference between a bad boy and a boy who’s bad . . . meet Shane Baxter.

Sexy, dark, and dangerous, Bax isn’t just from the wrong side of the tracks, he is the wrong side of the tracks. A criminal, a thug, and a brawler, he’s the master of bad choices, until one such choice landed him in prison for five years. Now Bax is out and looking for answers, and he doesn’t care what he has to do or who he has to hurt to get them. But there’s a new player in the game, and she’s much too innocent, much too soft…and standing directly in his way.

Dovie Pryce knows all about living a hard life and the tough choices that come with it. She’s always tried to be good, tried to help others, and tried not to let the darkness pull her down. But the streets are fighting back, things have gone from bad to worse, and the only person who can help her is the scariest, sexiest, most complicated ex-con The Point has ever produced.

Bax terrifies her, but it doesn’t take Dovie long to realize that some boys are just better when they’re bad.

HOLY MOLEY MOTHER OF EVERYTHING.....So I had a few days to cool off again....which I needed, because this book was all kinds of awesome. I love Jay Crownover, I just totally do. Her style of writing, her characters, everything about it draws me in. And the first novel in her new series didn't disappoint at all.

Bax is everything you hope he will be. If you are looking for a tattooed bad guy that is everything his name promises, then Bax is everything you are looking for. Bax, I mean, with a name like that, how can you NOT love him? And who isn't drawn to a tattooed bad guy? Come on, seriously?? It's not only the bad aura he has around him  that draws you in. Despite the street creed he has, he's also loyal to the people who have proved to him that they care, that he can count on them. There are traits inside of Bax that he's not let anyone seen in a very long time, and when they come to light in this book, it's an amazing thing to watch. And who brings it out? It's a little shy and fiery person that he hasn't seen coming.

Dovie. And honestly, I love her as well! The way she loyally throws herself in danger, just to save the one person that has ever made her feel loved in her life. That is, until Bax shows up. He's NOTHING like the guy she should be interested in, but there is something about him that she cannot shake off. No matter how much she tries, she cannot escape the allure that is Shane Baxter (on a side note, I think there hasn't been a better character name than Shane Baxter - or let's say, I haven't heard of a lot). With her feistiness, she is the first person ever to see the person that isn't Bax, but Shane, and before she realizes it, she might be in too deep.

This is a great story of loyalty, of being who you are and not who you think you need to be, and yet being able to open up and let your fears and weaknesses who, no matter what the consequences might be. It's a story that makes you HOT, let me tell you, because honestly, when you have someone like Shane Baxter, things are bound to be hot. And Jay Crownover just KNOWS how to do hot!!!!!

Please go and read that book, really do!!! It's amazing, it's awesome and you won't be disappointed!!!!

Next one:

Marked Men number 4 - Nash (watch out, this is actually a spoilery review, since it's hard to say how awesome this book is without giving too much of the stories before away) . If you haven't read any of her books, then please do!! Gosh, please do!!!

Synopsis: Saint Ford has worked hard to achieve her childhood dream of becoming of nurse. Focused on her work and devoted to her patients, there’s no room for love. She doesn’t need a guy making waves in her calm, serene life—especially when he’s the unforgettable hottie who nearly destroyed her in high school. Dark, brooding Nash Donovan might not remember her or the terrible pain he caused. But he turned her world upside down... and now he’s trying to do it again.

Saint has no idea that Nash isn’t the cocky player he once was. Uncovering a devastating family secret has rocked his world, and now he’s struggling to figure out his future. He can’t be distracted by the pretty nurse he seems to meet everywhere. Still, he can’t ignore the sparks that fly between them —or how she seems so desperate to get away from him. But the funny, sweet, and drop-dead gorgeous Saint is far too amazing to give up on—especially since she’s the only thing in his life that seems to make sense.

When Nash discovers the truth about their past, he realizes he may have lost her heart before he could even fight for it. Now, Saint has to decide: is Nash worth risking herself for all over again?

The Marked Men are what got me loving Jay in the first place. Rule took my heart away, and Jet and especially Rome as well were no different. I was really looking forward to Nash's book, since he has always been one of my favourites of the whole bunch.

I knew within the first moments of this book that I would be bawling my eyes out at a few points during this book. And I would be proven right.

I fell in love with Nash and Saint right from the start. They have great chemistry and the history they have together makes for an interesting mix. Nash is an amazing human being, nothing else needs to be said at this point. You could see that a lot already in the last books, which is why I already was half in love with him before the book was even out.

When he found out in the last book who his father really was, it crushed Nash's world, and even though dealing with that is the last thing he wants, Saint is the one person that makes him see that wasting precious time with his father while he's still alive might be the only right way to do it. While struggling herself with the hurtful comments Nash lashed out when they were still in high school, Saint doesn't want to get involved with him in any way, but the situation with his father just makes her feel for him, and before she knows it, he is the only one that actually can make her feel as if there was more to life than duty and honor.

Saint has led a rather boring life until then, she said so herself. She doesn't have many friends, only knows her job and her family, and that was it. After Nash crushed her self-esteem in high school, she has never fully recovered and still struggles with the aftermath now. This is one of their main issues throughout the book, because Saint cannot see herself for the amazing and caring person that she is. I completely understood her in that sense, and could feel with her. It was hard for her to come out of her shell with the one person that was basically the reason she had drawn back into that shell in the first place.

Nash has a hard time dealing with Saint's warm and cold attitude, but once he knows her reasons, things begin to progress. You don't need to tell me that it's all nice and simply from then on, because things never really are!! But it's well worth the ride, let me tell you!

A few other things I wanted to say, a few other reasons why I love this book, besides the main couple:
1. Royal: Oh my gosh, I actually liked her from the moment she stepped on the scene! Even when I didn't know who she was, what her profession was or so on, but there was just something about her that made me like her instantly and I CANNOT wait for her book with Asa! This is gonna be one hell of a ride.
2. the whole bunch of them: I have said this before in another review of the Marked Men, but all those tattooed guys and their feisty, loyal and crazy women are just soooo likeable. When reading about them, you can totally see you being one of them. I love each one of them, how beneath all that tattooed demeanor they have their big heart that is big enough to fit even more people in there. And Shaw and Rule's wedding just made me cry...it really did! Those vows?? HOLY MOLEY...even thinking about it now gets me teary eyes because the love each couple shares is still so palpable, even if they are only in the scene for like 5 sentences. And little RJ....Oh my, I already love her as well! I was actually thinking it'd be so fun to have a story with her when she's older, just to see her uncles getting all protective the moment she starts getting interested in a guy LOL this could be fun!! So the bunch, I'm in love with them, and I will surely miss them once they are gone....but thankfully, still two more books!!!

Oh my, I could keep gushing about this another page, but let's just end this with: Jay Crownover is a definite go to author for me!!!

Always Yours,
Yvi
