The Don: Sebastian (Stud Mafia Series #1) by Aimie Jennison and Elle Raven

Synopsis:

Power. Greed. Revenge. Submission.
Sierra Winters never planned on falling for the most powerful man in Sydney.
One minute, she's an everyday twenty-eight-year-old, working class office girl. The next, she’s being blackmailed by Sebastiano Morassi, Sydney's influential crime family boss, to settle her brother's debts.
Sierra knows she should never have gone to him to ‘save’ her brother but she is captivated by him. His monstrous size, his malicious evil glare and more frightening is the scar, which marks his left cheek. Never has she met or seen anyone like him. The more time she spends with this frightening yet captivating man, the harder it becomes to want to escape.
Sebastiano Morassi is pure danger. So why does she crave him? He can make her tremble with fear and make her hairs stand on end, but he also has a sweetness to him, which tugs at her heart. Sierra soon finds herself merged into his world full of murder, revenge, and deceit.

What I have to say to this five-star-plus read:

I might start of with a warning. I eventually will appear like a mad woman, but I entirely blame Aimie and Elle for that. Seriously. I've waited for this book soon long and now I am happy I got my ARC for an honest review... That's a lie. I blackmailed those two until I got one! Muahahaha! See, Mad woman. It's their fault... Because "The Don" simply was... I mean... Whoa, he's HOT! And I mean that in all the right ways. Like with hot candle wax, hot sex, hot talk... All that.

This book is violent. And I mean ready-to-throw-up-gruesome. But it's also steamy. Very steamy. And it's special. I was trying to think of how best to say how this book made me feel, but I can't even get close to my emotions really. Maybe we can do it in a series of GIFs.

First I felt:

Then I felt:

And then.....

After that came...

And the last two...

Yeah, so I was in heat, in disgust, in heat, in more heat, burning, heat, disgust and a lot more disgust and then heat again. The ending was perfect. The book was exciting and thrilling and dark and dangerous and all the things a crazy girl like me could wish for. Seriously. this read has something to offer for everyone and i am so glad those two trusted me with their ARC because, MAN, I couldn't have waited any longer for this book.

Sierra is brave and probably a little naïve, but that's okay. She comes around, realizing all the things that go wrong and are wrong, but that sometimes are necessary.

Sebastiano... Please, take a moment to let that name roll off your tongue. I think it settles right between the legs. That name alone promises heat and as much as I feel seriously sick because he's hot and a turn on, i can't help but fan myself whenever thinking about him. I'm one of those girls that occasionally enjoys YA lit, but I seriously love a good, real MAN in between all the boys and HOLY SHIT, Sebastiano is all man and monster. But let's be honest here, monsters sometimes attract us girls. Like Angel back in the Buffy-days... Or Klaus from VD right now... They are all just misunderstood. *winks* Sebastiano has a certain code of honor and I sure love how he thinks respectable women are treated... And to him a respectable woman is one with a head held high, no matter what situation of profession she's in. That dude is kinky, but I am thinking all of us have a kinky side that needs feeding sometimes. And I promise, after this awesome read you'll never see rosary beads in the same way... Damn, I want a one of those necklaces...

All in all... I loved this book. I seriously did and I have to bow before Aimie and Elle for having dared to write it. The sex, the violence... You truly mastered both in your book... Thank you, ladies. Seriously.

Yours truly,

Julie
